Matthew Wilton received his law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1985. Matthew was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1986, after completing his articles in Winnipeg, Manitoba at Aikins MacAulay & Thorvaldson. Matthew then moved to Toronto and articled with Bell Temple. Matthew was called to the Ontario Bar in 1989, and remained at Bell Temple until 1991, when he moved to the Health Law Department at Goodman & Carr.

As a litigator Matthew has appeared in every court in Ontario, and has also appeared in the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Matthew has a number of important reported decisions dealings with various areas of tort liability, professional discipline, and health law.

Matthew�s litigation practice encompasses commercial litigation, professional discipline for dentists, lawyers, physicians and many other health professions, employment law and general litigation. Matthew is regularly asked to speak on issues relating to administrative law, and professional discipline issues.

Greg graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1985 and obtained his law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1988. Greg went on to article at a Bay Street firm specializing in secured transactions, real estate, insolvency and related litigation.

After his call to the Bar in 1990, Greg stayed on at his articling firm doing debt enforcement for institutional lenders, insolvency, real estate and related litigation. Between 1994 and 1999, Greg continued in civil litigation practice in Toronto, focusing primarily on commercial matters.

Between 1999 and 2001, Greg lived and worked abroad, earning a master�s degree in business (M.B.S.) from University College Dublin in 2000.

In 2002 Greg joined Matthew at Matthew Wilton & Associate where he has continued in the field of general commercial and civil litigation, personal injury and the firm�s focus areas, professional discipline and health law.




Paul Martin

Paul provides civil litigation representation and advice in a broad range of matters to both businesses and individuals, with a particular emphasis on employment, human rights and administrative law, as well as the firm�s focus areas, professional discipline and health law. Paul has appeared in matters before the Superior Court of Justice, as well as various administrative tribunals.

A native of St. John�s, NL, Paul attended Memorial University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2004. Paul then obtained his law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2007. During his second year in law school, Paul acted as the coordinator for the Faculty�s branch of Pro Bono Students Canada. He was also selected to spend a summer at the University of Pretoria working on land tenure reform issues in rural South Africa.

Paul was called to the Bar in 2008, and joined Matthew Wilton & Associates in 2009.

Michael�s practice includes advice and representation primarily in the firm�s focus areas of professional discipline and health law, but also in a variety of litigation and employment matters.

Michael began his legal career practising in the areas of commercial and general litigation, and personal injury. He also practised in a boutique property tax firm, where he appeared in the Superior Court of Justice and before the Assessment Review Board. Before joining Matthew Wilton & Associates in 2015, Michael was an investigator at the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario for several years, where he gained significant experience in regulatory complaints and discipline.

Michael obtained his Bachelor�s degree in English from McGill University, and his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the Bar in 2001.

Lee received his law degree from the University of New Brunswick Law School in 2011 with Honors. During his time in law school, he served as Editor in Chief of the UNB Law Journal and competed at the Laskin Moot Court Competition. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick Medal for placing first overall within his graduating class.

Lee initially articled with the firm in 2011-2012. Upon his call to the bar in 2012, Lee practiced for several years at a National Law Firm within their Health Law Group, where he gained extensive experience defending public hospitals, regulated health professionals and health care clinics with respect to a wide variety of civil and regulatory matters. Between 2017-2018, Lee worked as legal counsel at the University Health Network, one of the largest research and teaching hospitals in North America.

Lee rejoined the firm in the Fall of 2018 to continue his practice representing health care clients and professionals with respect to a wide variety of regulatory, professional discipline, employment and general litigation matters. Lee has appeared at all levels of court in the Province of Ontario and has acted as counsel before many of the regulated health profession colleges. Lee has extensive experience representing clients before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board and with respect to Coroner�s Inquests.
